When this incident occurred, I was not talking on the phone I was not drinking or eating anything in the car I did not even have the radio turned on. The entire front of the car was smashed in and radiator fluid was coming out of the bottom of the car. It was like the accelerator had been pressed all the way to the floor.

Just as the car stopped and I was getting ready to put it into park, the engine suddenly revved up and the car jumped the curb and hit a tree about 5 feet in front of the parking space at full force. I saw one and slowed down even more to barely moving, and was easing into the parking space with my right foot on the brake. I had left my office about 10 minutes prior to pulling into a shopping center and was driving about 5 mph in the parking lot, looking for a parking space.

Where did I learn to try s instead of d ? a Honda dealer !! so, this idea that this issue is not a potential safety concern is not true for all drivers who are trying to reduce the fatiguing, annoying effects of these vibes, shudders, and shakes. In addition, driving in s cuts fuel economy (I have learned ) about 25-30%. If one forgets to put the car into d in order to accelerate, he could get rear ended, or get stranded under a light driving in s, however, one must be very careful doing this in traffic, as the car accelerates very quickly, and it tends to lunge a bit ! in this instance, it is very easy to rear-end a car in front of you. Having to place car in n, at stoplights (many are now doing it, and some Honda dealers are advocating it ! they also suggest turning the ac on high, turn the lights and radio on, etc. This vibration is felt on the inside throughout the car. The car has a terrible vibration issue when stopped at a light or in traffic with your foot on the brake and the car in drive. Tachometer runs high like 3-4000 rpm this has happened since purchase Jan 29, 2011, but I will put todays date below re last question about mileage on vehicle I will put todays mileage even though happened through out ownership. Tires routinely have outside wear, even with rotation through discount tire where they cross rotate. Seat belts won't retract well, especially on drivers side 6. Seats memory foam fails and flattens out, nearly 96000 miles 4. This is a terrible feeling going up hill with nothing but two passengers and no load 3. Or would engine would nearly die going up hills with ac radio on, and latterly chugged up hill this is related to the gear not shifting. At one time would not shift down on hills.

This happens with short trips, free way or city trips 2. With and w/o snow tires, no matter the weather or road conditions: strong hot rubber burning smell by back right wheel. Take apart again and then realise you miss counted and they were the ones that held the top on.1. Then wonder why you have two screws left. Once the laser was found it was simple to put some cleaner on a cotton bud and reach it through the open back of the unit. Then by shining a tourch in the back I could see the laser through gaps in the top of the unit (with previosly mentioned circuit board held to one side). Did not detach springs just gently moved plate up. Then removed plate on back of DVD held with very small screws and springs. Took the circuit board off the top of the DVD but this is held to the unit by ribbon cable that can't be detached. Then I may have started removing unecessary parts and you may see a better way for the next steps. Seperated DVD from CD (another four screws I think). Removed the rear cover (about 10, screws didn't count) then lifted top off.

Remove mounting plates on sides of unit and large black box hanging on these and plugged into back of unit. Pull out trim and then four bolts retaining the unit. Removed the unit, two screws up under the air vents. (Good excuse for another weekend away)įinally got round to looking at the same problem on our 2005 CRV. Don't know but if it happens again I am of for a drive to Hull. Could it have anything to do with the Tom Tom passing any kind of signal or any of the equipment around at the Dock.

When I returned and started to set the Tom Tom for my return journey I noticed that my Honda sat nav was now working, set my home address and it has worked ever since. Drove to Hull and left my car on the top floor of the car park at the docks. This weekend we went on a mini cruise to Holland and as I had to drive to King George Dock in Hull I borrowed a friends Tom Tom and put this on the dash just above my own sat nav. Finally I rang Honda and arranged to go and have them take it out and send it away for repair after my holiday at a cost of £250.

Used a dvd cleaning disc several times and did a force download every day sometimes up to 10 times a day. I read all the reports on this site (wasn't brave enough to try some of them). It started about 6 weeks ago with error reading disc message.
